Moyu Zhang is an internationally collected and awarded artist as well as the founder of Moyu Zhang Studios in Washington D.C. metro area. She painstakingly hand-tools wood to create time and space inspired sculptures that are minimal, emotional, and modernly refined. Her work is guided by the purity in concept and the richness in form and color. Moyu respects natural materials and traditional craftsmanship. She seeks to create objects that reveal their essential quality and simplicity to convey her attitude toward life. All her pieces aspire to capture an elusive beauty that combines the poetic and mysterious with a feeling of serenity and purity.
